LLTC - Off The Hook performed by LLTC
Off The Hook by Derek Benfield
16th - 19th March 2005

Fred Baxter has a plan. He is convinced that hidden in the Hook House Hotel lies a small fortune in loot, stashed there by the notorious bank robber, Harold Spook, before he was arrested and sent down. Fred's accomplice, Charlie Mullins, has sprung Harold from prison and brought him to the hotel; the plan is for the three of them to stay the night, find the money and scarper in the morning.

Trouble is, they've sprung the wrong man. This Harold has not a clue about the money or anything much else. And then there is the hotel staff and the other guests: the proprietor who cares a lot more about his pigs than the guests; his man-eating wife who fancies anything in trousers (apart from her husband) and Harold in particular; and the rest of the staff and guests (including a fearsome off-duty Justice of the Peace from the "hang 'em and flog 'em" school of law and order and the real Harold Spook's girlfriend) who hinder the gang at every juncture.

It all adds up to a frantic caper in the best tradition of true farce and a 'must see' production.
